In 2018, 368 people with disabilities were admitted to ordinary colleges and universities, and 124 people with disabilities entered special education colleges. In 2018, the number of employed persons with disabilities in urban and rural areas in the province was 452,000, of which 91,000 were employed in proportion, 43,000 were concentratedly employed, 1841 were individually employed, 39,500 were employed in non-profit positions, and 9080 were employed in assisted employment. Employment (including community and home employment) was 153,000, and 115,000 were engaged in agricultural breeding.
In 2018, 1.147 million people with disabilities participated in urban and rural social endowment insurance. Among the 300,000 severely disabled persons under the age of 60, 294,000 were subsidized by the government and enjoyed 98.0% of payment on behalf of them. 210,000 non-severely disabled persons have enjoyed individual payment subsidy policies and 480,000 receive pensions. The province has 620,000 disabled people with difficulties and 474,000 severely disabled people who enjoy living or nursing subsidies.
The work of foster care for the disabled has been progressing steadily. The number of disabled care services has reached 1,756, of which 81 are boarding care services, 1130 are day care institutions, and 545 are comprehensive care services for 30,000 disabled people. People provided institutional care services, and 7,346 disabled people received home services.
11. The situation of basic public safety services is stable
Stability is the foundation of development, and peace is the need of people's livelihood. The province carried out special governance and investigation and rectification of hidden dangers in key industries. The number of production safety accidents and the number of deaths achieved a "double decline". In 2018, a total of 7,076 production safety accidents of various types occurred, with 3,909 deaths, a decrease of 584 and 483 from the same period last year , Decreased by 7.62% and 11.0%, respectively, without major production safety accidents. A series of measures in Jiangsu in 2018 allowed the people to witness the advancement of Ping An Jiangsu and Jiangsu under the rule of law and enjoy the fruits of the construction of Ping An Jiangsu and Jiangsu under the rule of law. The performance of comprehensive management of social order and the satisfaction rate of the masses continued to be at the forefront of the country. Jiangsu is recognized as one of the safest provinces in the country. In 2018, the public's sense of security in the province increased to 97.6%, the satisfaction with the rule of law construction increased to 97.5%, the food sampling rate for thousands of people reached 5.76 batches, and the qualified rate for random inspections in the drug production process reached 99.12%.
Significant increase in people's satisfaction
In 2018, the province's basic public service system construction effectiveness achieved a comprehensive score of 82.7 points, an increase of 7.6 points over the previous year, and an increase of 10.1%, indicating that the province's basic public service system has achieved significant results. Happiness and security are increasing.

In terms of urban and rural areas, from 2016 to 2018, the satisfaction of urban residents was higher than that of rural residents. In 2018, the overall satisfaction score of urban residents was 83 points, an increase of 9.4% over the previous year. The construction of rural basic public service systems has achieved remarkable results. The overall satisfaction score of rural residents was 82.1 points, an increase of 11.5% over the previous year.

Satisfaction in the southern Jiangsu, central Jiangsu, and northern Jiangsu regions has increased significantly, with 8.8%, 10%, and 11.5% increases respectively, with the northern regions having the most significant increases in scores.
